

DeKalb Medical Center is at the national forefront in research, treatment and the cure of cancer. Marketing research had shown that awareness for DeKalb Medical Center was non-existent. Previous campaigns and marketing attempts hadn’t cut through the clutter. And consumers believed that Emory University Hospital, also in Atlanta, was the best cancer facility and their choice for top hospital in the city. The campaign uses leadership facts and national achievement awards. Each idea gave potential cancer patients the reassurance of a cure and confidence in DeKalb Medical Center. Marketing materials included: TV, radio, public service tips campaign, print ads and collateral. Phone calls to the cancer center increased over 900%, from 9 to 115 calls a month. The campaign was awarded an AMY award and a “Best of Show” at the Southeast Regional Healthcare Show.
